I finally made it to Food Shack Lagos after months of being unintentional about it, apart from going to fun places like Lekki Conservation Centre, I enjoy going to restaurants to try something different.
Food Shack Lagos is a restaurant located at 32 Ologun Agbaje Street, Victoria Island, Lagos. It mostly opens from 12pm (do make sure you check online before going).
One of the reasons Food Shack Lagos was on my list was because compared to other restaurants on the island, it is relatively affordable, it was difficult to get the actual price online but I was able to get an idea of their prices. Another reason was the aesthetics, I liked the pictures I saw and it got me intrigued.
First Impression: Food Shack Lagos looked smaller and different than the picture I saw online, I later realized they switched up the set up but it was still beautiful. I went with my friends on a Sunday afternoon, it was not busy and I liked it that way. There was no light when we got there which the waiter apologized for but the situation was later rectified.
I liked how the natural light seeped in with reckless abandon, the plants opening up to embrace everything the light had to offer. The chairs cushioned with Ankara fabric gave the restaurant a traditional feel. I like the ambience and trust me to do a good number with pictures.
It took about 20-30 minutes for our order to be served, we got 12 shack wings, sweet potato fries and plantain fries. My friend liked plantain fries, the sweet potato fries was a little bit salty for me, my friend that got a drink enjoyed it. I really liked the chicken wings, it was delicious!! We split the 12 shack wings which I think is a good thing to do especially if you are with friends and want to save money.
Their customer service was great, we were well attended to. Kudos to their team.
Food Shack Lagos is a cool restaurant to hangout with friends, eat good food, celebrate birthdays (there was a surprise birthday happening while we were there but I think you need to check in with them first concerning this), catch up on lost time over food and just chill.
Is Food Shack Lagos somewhere I will like to go again? Yes, but I want to explore other places in Lagos state first.
Have you been to Food Shack Lagos? If yes, how was your experience? If no, do you plan to visit anytime soon?
