My reading life

I was feeling unmotivated to read school books so I needed to read something to boost my morale and at that point exams were approaching I would get judgey eyes if I was seen with a paperback or hardcover weeks to exams so It just had to be  an ebook. If you followed my former blog you will know my struggles with ebooks so it was a bittersweet experience (lets just say at the beginning)
I had so many books on my Aldiko reader (I recommend Aldiko) but I just picked this one randomly. It was not like

What comes to your mind when you hear that a book is titled chasing Eveline? Well,Leslie Hauser did not think so. Chasing Eveline is a story of Ivy who got abandoned by her mother. Yeah, just like that! For someone growing up to like her mother so much, adopting her taste of music and everything. It is hard when that one person just decides to stop being a part of her life. She is not completely abandoned as she has her dad and Matt to help her get through life.

I will say Ivy was so attached to her mother that finding her and asking questions were paramount. She thought of an idea to achieve this but it was beyond her. Well, was it really beyond her. She was going to reunite her mother’s favourite band; Chasing Eveline. Did she achieve this? Will health complication from someone dear to her allow her?

This book is about love, family, friendship, hope and forging ahead even when the unexpected happen.

“In loving memory of my dad. Your song ended too soon, but it will echo in my heart forever”

When I read books, I try to get closer to the author in a way and Leslie Hauser loves music which was apparent.

I really love this book. I am sure at the end of the year it would be one of my favourite reads. I actually wrote to the author. She replied and I was so glad that  I told her how amazing she is.

This book gave me gusto to read for my school.

I could keep going but this should be on your TBR.

I read this book in 24 hours. Yeah it is a short read but I have come across shorter reads that took me so long to finish. I was heartbroken when this book ended. How can you just leave me like that? If you are looking for a short and interesting this is highly recommended. Lately, I am careful as I rate books because you never can tell. This is a solid 4.5/5 for me. I doubt I will forget this book.
