Happy New Month! Welcome to the month of love bla bla bla.

JANUARY WRAP: I am not even trying to be cliché here but January was so long and tiring. I resumed school and it didn’t even seem to move at all. I started the reading challenge last month which has been awesome so far. I am not going to lie January was fun. Let’s take a sneak peek on how it went down:

WHAT IT MEANS WHEN A MAN FALLS FROM THE SKY BOOK READING: I got to the book reading late so I couldn’t get a good seat but I met so many people from Ake Festival and I got my book signed. There was small chops and serene environment to take cool pictures. I read the book in January too. It wasn’t part of the reading challenge but the reading challenge doesn’t stop me from exploring. If you are a book lover, book readings are super cool. I got to know it through Instagram so I think it is important to follow the right people (follow me).

ROYALTY BOOK LAUNCH: Just when I thought my short trip to You Read Library was over, another book event comes up there. I had so much fun on this day. I read royalty in the first week of January so I was ecstatic to attend the book reading. I was star struck here and the courage of the author is admirable.

WINEPRESS, WORSHIP WORD WARFARE: I know I pushed my limit in January because I attended events. Winepress and WWW were events I am beyond grateful I attended.

  • Week 1- Non-fiction- The Snare by Lois Mowday Rabey
  • Week 2- A book you have always wanted to read- Authentic Mama by Olunosen Louisa Ibhaze
  • Week 3-A book with a title that starts with J,A or N- Death comes at the end by Agatha Christie
  • Week 4-A Classic- Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (DNF)
  • Week 5- Science Fiction- Who fears death by Nnedi Okorafor

I also read Royalty by Bolatito Bez-Idakhula and What it means when a man falls from the sky by Lesley Nneka Arimah.

MOVIES: I did not watch a lot last month. I re-watched this is it and watched The Shack. If you haven’t watched ‘the shack’, it is a movie you must watch. I went for the movie premiere of the culprit which I wrote a review here.

9mobile PRIZE FOR LITERATURE: I am so excited for this bunch because for the first time I have read two books in the shortlist. I want to read the last book so I can judge but I will be putting my money on stay with me.

January was very busy for me. I had to balance school, books and attending necessary events. At the end of the day, who sent me message?

Check out my February reads, what I am reading on Valentine week is quite obvious or you still want to take a guess? What are you currently reading?
