January Book Wrap Up

Happy New Month!! Welcome to February. While thinking of things to gift and share this month, do read this post on gift ideas for book lovers.

I will be going through the books I read last month. I created a reading challenge for 2019, I have prompts I follow weekly. My overall goal for the first two months is to read books I already own. It’s not about just acquiring books, I need to read them.

January Book Wrap Up

At the end of January, I read 9 books in total, more than my planned 5 books, I need to keep this energy throughout the year, amen?

A Book I Read Last Year And Thoroughly Enjoyed: Sex, Jesus and The Conversations The Church Forgot by Mo Isom. I still have not finished this book because it is taking me longer to finish the book compared to the first time but I will always recommend it especially for young Christians. I reviewed it here.

A Book From My TBR Pile or Review Copy: My Mind Is No Longer Here by Ifedigbo Nze Sylva. I am delighted I got to read some of the books that were occupying my space, I really do not like clutter and also the habit of acquiring books without reading the ones I bought earlier. I reviewed the book here.

A Book From My TBR Pile or Review Copy: The Yearning by Mohale Mashingo. I enjoyed reading this book and was relieved when I finished because It has been with me for the longest. I reviewed it here.

A Book From My TBR Pile or Review Copy: Fervent: A Woman’s Battle Plan to Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer by Priscilla Shirer. I honestly enjoyed this book and it helped my prayer life in the month of January. I reviewed the book here and highly recommend it.

A Celebrity’s Memoir: Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of NIKE by Phil Knight. This book was recommended every where and I knew it was something I had to read. I reviewed it here.

Other books I read in January:

Twisted by Kennedy Obohwemu

Greater: Dream Bigger. Start Smaller. Ignite God’s Vision for Your Life by Steven Furtick

A Tale I Ought To Tell by Oreoluwa C. Macaulay

Perseverance is my power by Perceptual Plazz

Don’t Say It Is Not Your Country by Nnamdi Oguike. This book will be published this month and I will interview the author on Celebrating Greatness Section.

  1. Precious says:

I read Love stories from Africa: an anthology published by brittle paper. It was exciting reading different explorations of love and how it can happen during our everyday scenarios. I’ll read Gossamer, an anthology too by next week.

I love your blog. It’s beautiful
